What might be called the art corridor begins in the south part of the boardwalk with the famous landmark known as Los Arcos. These very traditionally Mexican arches were recovered from an hacienda in Guadalajara. Another example of art rich in tradition includes the Fountain of Friendship. This is a sculpture which represents brotherhood, depicting 3 dolphins; according to a legend of the Chumash natives from the south of California, several people were rescued from a shipwreck by dolphins.

Halfway up the boardwalk, you will find a group of stone sculptures in the form of chairs, decorated with shapes of sea animals. The sculptures are called La Rotonda del Mar. The sculptor, Alejandro Colunga, is from Guadalajara, and has held exhibitions of his work in various countries throughout the world.
