Selling Real Estate Online: The Biggest Mistake Done By Real Estate Agents Selling Online

One of the most common mistake done by real estate agents when they’re optimizing their web pages is to use too many keywords in their title and description tags, especially on their home pages. Each page of your real estate website should be optimized for a few targeted keywords. I recommend to develop each page around a maximum of 2-3 related keywords.

The key is to optimize each page of your real estate website with specific and highly targeted search terms. It may sounds limited but if you are going to broad you will loose relevancy and your website traffic will fall into nothingness.

Develop your title and description tags around your selected keywords. Build your on-page content around these keywords but keep in mind that you can include other keywords in the text of the page.

If your target market is around five cities, you want your visitors to know about it!

Try to avoid keywords spamming that may penalize your website. Keywords spamming is a common mistake done by real estate agents. If you look at the page and feel it unnatural then you're visitors are likely to think that as well and they will probably leave your site. Write quality and interesting content about the topic that your visitors are searching for.

If you follow these simple recommendations you’ll find that your real estate website will start ranking for your targeted keywords. But if you optimize your main page for all the keywords related to the real estate industry your real estate website will never meet success!
