Ready to Lead Or Ready to Repeat

Visitors: 140

One of the most common questions in the Presidential Election has been, “Who is ready to lead?" It has been asked by the media, by the people, and by the candidates themselves. It's repeatedly asked by everyone, and seldomly answered. . . honestly. Sen. McCain has repeatedly demanded that he is ready to lead. Sen. Obama has repeatedly commanded that he is ready to lead. Gov. Palin has stated, in the few appearances she's made, that SHE is ready to lead. . . and, Sen. Biden has also advised us of his readiness to lead. So, who are we to believe? Who is actually telling the truth?

Gov. Palin was finally committed to an actual interview with the media. Charlie Gibson, of ABC News, was the one reporter that the GOP chose to interview Palin, which took place on September 11. While the GOP surely took privilege to review questions prior, some of the answers were a bit disturbing.

In one portion of the interview, Gibson questioned Palin on her thoughts of Israel. . . and Iran.

GIBSON: So if we wouldn't second guess it and they decided they needed to do it because Iran was an existential threat, we would cooperative or agree with that.

PALIN: I don't think we can second guess what Israel has to do to secure its nation.

GIBSON: So if it felt necessary, if it felt the need to defend itself by taking out Iranian nuclear facilities, that would be all right.

PALIN: We cannot second guess the steps that Israel has to take to defend itself.

The first noticeable issue comes with the repetitive lines, that never actually answer the question asked. With Israel being an extremely powerful country, and Iran so massive and capable of immense destruction, surely this line of questioning is well worth an answer. The second portion of that? How is it possible that Palin has been groomed by the GOP, and has spent the last month being “briefed" by Pres. George W. Bush's aides, and the best possible answer was that “we cannot second guess"?

After failing to answer the questions asked of her, in the first and possibly the only actual interview that will take place, you have to ask yourself that same old question. . . "Is she ready to lead?" Hmm. . . is Sarah Palin ready to lead this great Nation of ours? Is she ready to lead this enormous and extremely powerful military? Is she ready to lead our Nation out of the pit that Pres. Bush has brought us within the International Community?

A bigger question should be, How is anyone ready to lead anything, when they must be briefed, told what to say, to what questions, at what times, and to what people? As well, the people “educating" Palin of what she needs to do and say. . . well, aren't those the one's that drove every square inch of this country into the ground? The administration that has drove our Nation into war on false pretense. . . The administration that has allowed the corruption and illegal practices of Mortgage Companies, causing one of the most expansive mortgage collapses in history. . . The administration that has done away with the Constitution of the United States of America, in order to pursue their own brand of justice. . . The administration that has done away with Habias Corpus, in order to torture and mutilate foreign citizens. . . The administration that has driven fuel and heating fuel to an all time record high crippling the Country. . . This is the same administration that has been “educating" Gov. Palin on what to do and say. Do YOU call this “ready to lead"?
