Jeremy Troy is wearing a black sarcastic political t-shirt with the words “Undecided Voter" on it.
Troy doesn't know who he is going to be supporting in the November, 2008 Presidential Campaign. This spring, he donated money and voted for Ron Paul. But neither of the major party candidates appeal to the Oklahoma City, OK native.
"When I was supporting Ron Paul, there were all kinds of t-shirts, bumper stickers, and banners I could buy to show my support. But no campaign offers shirts for the undecided voter. "
So Troy, a computer engineer, turned to the internet which was a major force in Ron Paul's 2008 success. There he found a number of sarcastic political t-shirts to fill his need to express himself politically even though he doesn't have a candidate.
Among his other prizes are a sarcastic political t-shirt that reads “Redo the 2008 elections" and one that says “Average Americans Want Another Choice. "
"I see sarcastic political t-shirts as a way to bridge the gap for those of us that don't have a candidate. "
Because t-shirts can now be manufactured individually, the types of t-shirts have multiplied. Now, a candidate can make a gaffe on the campaign trail and a t-shirt company can have a t-shirt designed, printed, and ready to ship in just 30 minutes. This means that if Troy does decide on a candidate, it won't take long for him to get sarcastic political t-shirts representing his choice.
"I'm looking forward to buying a dozen or so more t-shirts as the campaign progresses, " Troy says.
