It can be a disheartening experience signing up to a number of dating sites and yet getting few emails or visits to your profile. Yet, there’s one proven, almost guaranteed way, to improve the visits you get to your profile and increase the likelihood of getting more emails, winks and chat invitations.
If you’ve spent any time online at all, you’ve probably noticed that you tend to view or save to your favorites the profiles which have a photo with them.
One of the worst things when looking at people’s dating profile can be their photos. You know, those grey and grainy photos taken with webcams, or a photo taken from just below someone’s chin which is certainly less than flattering ! Human nature being what it is, you can have the most beautifully written dating profile, but if your photo doesn’t captivate people’s interest, it’s of no advantage to you.
Whilst you probably don’t need to go to the expense of having a professional photograph, it’s definitely worth having a good and flattering photo of yourself taken for your online profile.
With most people having a good quality digital camera – it shouldn’t be too hard to get hold of one for an afternoon.
Take a simple photo of yourself with no distracting background. Take it close-up and at a distance, from your left and right sides so that you have a choice as to which you’d like to post online.
Now upload it, use a simple tool such as Microsoft Paint to crop it so that it’s ready for posting to your profile – and add it to any of the online sites of which you are a member.
Best of luck !
