College students today are a generation that use technology like no other. For this reason, it is a great idea to tie into what they use so that they learn better and are more effective in their studying and all of that good stuff. A great way to do this would be to make sure that there are some great school apps out there that can help them. By creating these school apps, you will get them lots of information and you will tie into electronics that they are using already. This will make it all more effective and will give them something that is always at their fingertips, no matter where they are.

Assignment Planner Apps

Don't let them forget about their homework. A great idea for school apps is to have one that would allow you as a teacher to upload their homework and reading assignments on a daily basis. Your students could simply log into a application on their phone that would tell them where their assignments are, what they need to read, and what is due when they come back to class the next day. This will increase productivity.

Test Studying Apps

One of the hardest things for students to do is to know how to study for tests. As a professor at the college level, help them out. There could be school apps that will actually allow you to create mock tests that your students can take. You can upload questions onto them. These school apps may be so detailed that they can tell you who is missing what questions and give you an idea of the trends that are out there. This would be a great idea for getting college students to truly study for their tests.

Forums on Their Phones

Classes of college students should make contact with each other. Group study sessions and that sort of thing can really facilitate learning. Just like there is Facebook and LinkedIn, you could have a group where your students can join. This could be a school app where they can download what is going on and they can make comments. This way, people in the classes can get to know each other and will know who can help them or who they can help based off of the questions and discussions that are being had.

School apps are a great idea for college students and are something that more professors should look into. Get what you need to help your students by helping to create these apps and getting that information out there to them. This information will help them learn and retain better by putting all the information at their fingertips.
