Whether you are a LEGO enthusiast, a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, or both, the new LEGO Queen Anne's Revenge is a must-have for your pirate ship collection. In this set, Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates are taking over the pirate ship as they prepare to set sail in search of the Fountain of Youth.

Even for a LEGO veteran, the Queen Anne's Revenge takes many hours or even days to build. The set has 1097 pieces and it is not easy putting them together. Although it is a typical child's toy, this newest ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean over Stranger Tides is just as much fun for adults to build. The pieces are tiny and the ship requires lots of patience to build.

Two building guides come with the set, along with a poster. The LEGO Queen Anne's Revenge box holds 7 mini figures of Jack Sparrow, Blackbeard, Angelica, Quartermaster, Cook, and two pirates. The box also contains a number of plastic bags filled with LEGO pieces.

Even with the included guides, it's not easy to build the Queen Anne's Revenge but fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean will love building the pirate ship. LEGO incorporates a lot of detail in every nook and cranny and you will appreciate the challenge LEGO has created for you to assemble. Major parts of the ship need to be constructed using the tiny pieces that come in the box. You can make the task easier by building the big pieces first. Once you have the base of the ship, move on to the smaller pieces. Both ends of the ship will eventually meet and you can combine or snap together the major parts.

The LEGO Queen Anne's Revenge is magnificent to behold when completed. You will love LEGO's attention to detail, such as the inclusion of working cannons to the set. The pirate ship's billowing sails make it even more special. Other details include lanterns, fire elements and bone detailing. The captain's quarters can be detached, and you can steer with the helm.

While the tie-in with the Pirates of the Caribbean movie is quite obvious, even adults who are not fans of the movie will love building the Queen Anne's Revenge. It makes an impressive centerpiece that even non-LEGO fans will admire. It will make a fine addition to anyone's LEGO collection. Check out online gift cards and freebies .
