Early Retirement Through Job Loss Requires a Powerful Tool

There is one major tool every person who has received a job loss notification should have in there home, a paper shredder. If money is already tight you can ask your friends or family members if you can borrow there paper shredder for a few days.

The paper shredder becomes powerful for so many reasons.

When job loss happens and you are near retirement, people tend to explore the option of early retirement. This exploration usually requires the accumulation of financial statements of all your investments accounts, tax returns, bank accounts, mortgage credit card, and utility bills.

These important documents are required to make the best decision about whether or not you can take early retirement. Once you have made the decision the paper shredder can help you dispose of these documents that need proper disposing. Any one of these documents if simply put into the garbage could create an identity theft situation at the worst possible time. These statements contain value information about you that identity theft people are looking for.

Next time you have a financial document in your hand take a look at the information provided as though you were a stranger, to see how much you could learn about you, beneficiary designation, account numbers, where your money is located etc. . .

A great paper shredder will help prevent your important information from falling into the wrong hands. I have watched a lot of movies where they go through the garbage and re construct the shredded documents so I go beyond a paper shredder. You can do what I do with all my sensitive documents. I take my documents to a professional destruction company and for a few dollars I can watch them destroy my documents with no chance of reassembly.
