3 Ways Press Releases Can Be Used to Drive Massive Traffic and Generate More Profits

Press releases are a powerful and underutilized way to generate lots of publicity and traffic for your web site, product, or list building efforts. But most people have no idea how, when, or why to use a press release.

Here are three reasons to use press releases for more traffic.

1. When Being Controversial

If you have something to say that it at odds with the excepted wisdom in your niche, or even just one expert, this is a great time to put out a press release. Controversy is news and it sells. Just ask Howard Stern.

For example, if you're a stock picker and you think the market is going to go up while the conventional wisdom is that it's going to go down, that's a great reason for a press release.

2. Official Announcements of Big Changes in Your Business

This could include things such as mergers, brand new products, or even a joint venture with another organization.

3. Special Events

This could include events that are particular to a season or a theme, or maybe even something where you donate a percentage of sales to a charity organization.

Here's a bonus idea for you.

4. Current News

What I mean by this is to pay attention to the news and jump on current events that you can use to promote your own business.

Do you sell a diet product or fitness equipment? Maybe a new scientific study on fat loss has just hit the news.

Think of a creative way to tie in your business with this study and put out a press release.

Always be on the lookout for ideas and news you can use to incorporate into your own press release and leverage it for more traffic and more sales.
