Most internet marketers I speak with are always chasing techniques that they hope will generate more website traffic for their online business all the time.
You will find you sometimes lose sight of the quality of traffic you are already getting, if you constantly are trying to find new sources of traffic.
Are you sure the same thing is not happening to you today?
It is always more expensive to test and create website traffic from new sources, and acquire new customers, than it is to improve conversion of existing web site traffic, and increase sales opportunities to existing customers.
First, learn to analyze the website traffic you are already getting on a regular basis.
- Unique Visitors from each website traffic source
- Conversion to Subscribers
- Total Subscribers
- Follow-up Emails Opened
- Follow-up Emails Clicked Thru
- Conversion of Subscribers to First Sale
- Total 1st Buyers
- Conversion of 1st Buyer to Priority Buyer
- Total Priority Buyers
- Total Revenue
Second, learn how to test every conversion step, and split test ads, titles, subject lines, and all the variables in your sales funnel. You can then make incremental improvements to your conversion rates that will have a huge exponential impact on your revenues.
Third, by taking an existing traffic source of this same 100 unique visitors and increasing the conversion rate to subscribers from say 10% to 30% you have increased the # of subscribers from 10 - 30 for that time frame.
By using this technique, what I really do is increase my website traffic visitors that actually get an opportunity to see my offers to buy on an ongoing basis by 20 visitors for every hundred that reads my articles. . . . . I personally experience a conversion rate of 30-40% with well written articles routinely.
