Everyday there are so many human edited web directories that have come to prominence on the internet for the benefit of the people. At the moment there are so many editors that undertake this job regularly on a daily basis. It makes no difference when one does not do the editing work as there will always be someone to take care of it. One may take up any of the two options like the free and the paid human edited directories. Both the free and paid human web directories provide similar backlinks even though they have a lot of dissimilarities.

As far as the ‘paid’ human edited web directories go, apparently the first word tells it all. To use their services one has to make an initial payment. When you put money into something, you most likely will get a better quality review and there will be a specific time that it will be delivered to you, unlike with the free human edited directories. The review services can be availed on a permanent basis or the one that consists of a one time fee that the user is willing to pay.

It is the no fees service for the reviews that the free human edited directories provide which is why so many people prefer to take this service. Before making use of the directory one has to read all the TOS Terms of service thoroughly. Inorder to obtain the guidelines one has to fill out a form. As soon as the form has been submitted one has to only wait for an approval from the web directory for the listing being accepted or not. The downside about waiting for a disapproved for approved confirmation from a free human edited web directory is that you do not know when they will respond to your request. The time may vary from a few days to some months. You should also be prepared to see your ad disappear within a short period of time from the web directory if you want to use the free services. The placement of the ad can be for a few weks or removed as per the preference of the admistrators.

Depending on what you will be using the free human edited web directory services for should help you to determine whether it is best for you or if you’d be better off paying a membership or a one time fee. If you have a very important product or service to promote then it shouldn’t hurt you to splurge a little bit of money to get it onto the directory. You can atleast be sure about getting listed on it. On the other hand there is nothing like getting a free directory service if you can just to start off with; using multiple free web directories to submit your advertisements will give you more of a chance that you will get approved.
