Here is a bird’s eye view for you on SEO i. e. Search Engine Optimization. The need of SEO is mainly for the visibility of your website in the competition of the market you belongs to. SEO helps your website to rank on the SE’s where the competitors are working hard to get on the top rankings. It helps your business to be visible & available to your prospect customers via Internet.

The basic rule of Search engine Optimization (SEO) is to provide service or an informative website written for the visitors with search engine’s in mind as well. The concept in this is that the visitors should be able to read the content and navigate the website, in short it should be user – friendly.

Once your website is complete & ready to be launched over Internet, you need to take a slow step-by-step approach to get listed in the Search Engines. SEO is an ongoing process, those who are willing to invest their time and put these techniques into practice are the ones that will benefit and are more likely to be successful.

There are ‘n’ numbers of websites available over the Internet to provide Information on the same product or services, which you are providing to the visitor (customer). SEO helps you to rank over the results of search engines on the top positions or rankings to provide the information or services of your business to the customers.

The key for which the optimization of the website is done is known as the “Search phrases” or the “keyword”. For e. g. if I want to create a free email account, over a search engine I will use terms like: free email account, free email, email for free, etc. These are the keywords, which I used to get an appropriate outcome for my search query. That’s why this is the key of optimization to select the list of appropriate keywords.

Keyword Research is the essential part of SEO. This research includes searching for appropriate list of keywords focusing on the business or services of the website. People feel that doing SEO is very complicated but the truth is that there is a wealth of information all over the web that can help you in getting good ranking for your website.

Getting results from SEO – You should have patience. It’s an ongoing process and it takes time to get on the top rankings of the search engines. You will start with low ranking on targeted keywords sometime, but as the optimization process will go on the ranking will improve. Till than keep on building your links and optimizing the website.

I came across few people who use to say that “ SEO is a truck and PPC is a Car, that’s why there are less lady SEOs”. I want to comment on this statement as I have been in this industry from such a time and as per my view: SEO is a Formula1 racing Car it’s not about a man or a woman it’s about the craze to drive that Car and most importantly to be careful with the speed. F1 car needs lots of mechanism and techniques at the time of their making and when they are on road they beat the heat of competition and that’s what SEO is. I hope a lot of people who are into Search Marketing will agree.

There are a lot more in SEO as Keyword research is one of the essentials of SEO there are lot more like; link exchange, meta tags, etc.
