When you get your first few hundred subscribers, you are starting to make some progress in your list building efforts. When you are getting leads on a consistent, daily basis, you have some systems in place that will generate you profits. You also begin to know some ballpark figures for your business, such as your landing page opt-in rates.
This is important for you to know so that you have some clear targets you can reach. If you convert your visitors to subscribers at your landing page at say a 40% ratio, that means that you know that for every 100 visitors you send to your landing page, you are going to get roughly around 40 subscribers. So if you send 1000 brand new visitors to your landing page, you are going to get somewhere around 400 subscribers. So to build a 10,000 strong opt-in list, you would need 25000 visitors. This is powerful information for you to know. Now you can work at ways to get 25000 visitors with a clear goal in mind.
Let's say you want to build a list of 10,000 subscribers within a year. You would need 25000 visitors over 365 days to do that. That equates to just 68 visitors per day, which is very achievable if you combine a set of traffic generation strategies.
Now, when you build a list, it's not all about list size. You have to have responsive subscribers to buy from you for it to mean anything. It's your goal to provide the right solutions in the form of affiliate products or your own products. Give your subscribers what they want!
