But let's say we have somebody with a lower trust level. They may go, “Let me buy that $100 product. Let's see if this lady really can keep it up over time. "

So they buy your $100 product and they go, “Wow, I've bought products for $1,000 that have as much information as this Gail really over-delivers. "

Then maybe they take a splurge for themselves and say, “Let me just try this out one more time. " This might be that chocolate chip cookie that your grandmother made. They try you out one more time and that $500 product delivers more than a $2,000 product that they've bought in the past.

What has happened to their trust level when you expose them to your $5,000 product?

Caller: It's gone up considerably.

Sean: It's gone up considerably. Now there's another area that I think is incredibly important in building a relationship with the people on your list. I believe this is one of the most important things that you can do, and personally in my own experience this has been more important and this builds trust more than when somebody buys a $100 or a $500 product.

I say that's my personal experience, and it certainly could vary for you. If you're as active with it as I am, you'll probably feel the same way that I do, but this is an opinion thing.

The most important thing is the communication you have with your list. Has anybody ever sent an email to somebody on their autoresponder and gotten back one of those emails that say, “I get 1,000 emails a day. I no longer answer my emails personally. If you will send a support ticket in, somebody will get to you within the next 48 hours. "

Ever had that experience?

Caller: Yes.

Sean: Did your propensity to get more information or buy from this person or learn from this person go up or down after that experience?

Caller: Typically down.

Sean: Typically down. The only time it doesn't change for me is if they're the only person on earth that has the exact information I need and I'll do anything to get it, including jump through tons of hoops
