It only takes a few hours to set up a fully operational Internet business and it is a business you can run anytime of the day, anywhere in the world that has a wireless connection. But that doesn't mean you don't have to put in the time and effort to make the business work.
Some people think they can profit without having to do much work. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen too soon. If you want to build a real Internet business, you have to put in the hours in the beginning. For it to become automated so you can merely put maintenance effort into it, you have to create the systems first for that to happen. And that requires work. On the Internet, you have automated tools like websites and autoresponders, but whether visitors come, and whether those visitors end up buying - that all depends on the effort you put in.
I once read someone who wrote that if you can't manage your time, someone else will manage it for you. I think that's true. Most people can't manage their time, so someone else has to do it for them. Until you become good at managing your time and making sure you put in focused work, nothing great is going to happen.
The key to continue putting in focused work is to think about your major goals. Do you want a bigger house? A nice car? Or to provide a better lifestyle for your family? Then use your goal to spur you on to work on your business. The difference between highly successful people and mediocrity is that line between work and play is often blurred.
