Writing an eBook will be easier and give you the best quality possible if you work from an outline. By organizing your thoughts and ideas before you ever start writing you will have a road map to follow as you work through the process. Here are some suggestions on how to get your outline written so that the eBook writing process will go smoothly. Research your topic thoroughly so that you know every sub-topic that should at least be touched upon in your eBook. Divide your eBook into chapters and put them in a logical and sequential order. Use a common theme throughout the eBook. This can be humorous, inspirational, or include personal stories or case studies at the beginning of each chapter. This will make the reading more interesting and enjoyable as people read from beginning to end. Under each chapter heading, make notes about the key points you will include in that chapter. Set up your eBook in Word, or whichever word processing program you are using. Write a table of contents page and list each chapter on a separate page. Begin writing in the chapter you know most about or find most interesting. Then go back and write something in each of the other chapters. As you think of more information to include in your eBook, go back and add it to the appropriate chapter. Be sure to include an introduction and a conclusion to your eBook, and list any resources that would be helpful to the reader.
By writing in this way, using an outline and key points, your eBook will be more organized and take you much less time to complete. Working with a writing mentor will also be helpful in getting your eBook completed and ready to market and sell to others.
