Generally Mp3 streaming, Microsoft windows media and real one player are the three basic technologies that are needed for delivering internet radio but now stations allow the audience to choose their audio stream in many formats than before and thereby permitting the listeners to choose the way they want to listen.

The internet radio listeners are better known as ‘streamies. ’ You know, streamies are among the most active group internet users who spend most of their time online than an average internet user. Now the competition level is a bit higher among different internet radio stations that are sprouting here and there each day. Capturing the audience for your station is not so easy and persuading listeners to revisit is more difficult than this. It should be taken as a challenge by the internet broadcasters to air, worthy content that will made possible; repeat visits by audience.

Online talk radio is the gold pass to a new world of entertainment. This has become a new medium with of thousands of listeners tuning into the vibrant sounds flowing out from different stations. Internet radio ‘stations’ are usually accessible from anywhere in the world, which makes it a popular service for expatriates.
