Ebay Profiting Secrets - Why Customer Service is Important For Building a Profitable Ebay Business

Efficient customer service has become the back bone of any business today. If you have an eye for the daily news, you will find several complaints on customer service and these complaints cannot be taken lightly. Choppy customer service can ruin your business. Customer service applies in all its hues to your e-bay business too. Consider these:

1. E-bay is not just an auction site

E-bay has all the ingredients of any other business. If you look at it just as an auction site, you could be headed in the wrong direction and instead of helping build your business, you might in fact be doing the opposite. But, when you provide great customer service even to the auction customers on your E-bay site, they will appreciate that and be looking for future auctions from you.

2. Very similar to physical business

Observe how your neighborhood store owner conducts himself with his customers and emulate him, or even improve on that. Give the same treatment to the winner at your auction. As soon as the auction closes, contact the individual congratulate him and provide details of the item he picked up. Also, tell him how the merchandise is getting shipped. Add a thank you note before closing the e-mail.

3. Follow-up

As soon as the shipment is effected, contact your customer and inform the details. You can use this opportunity to tell him of your upcoming auctions. Specifically, ask him to contact you if there are any problems with the shipment, and if he does contact, be prompt with your answers/solutions.
