A simple way to generate more profits using your opt in list is to find out what your subscribers actually need because once you know what they want you can give it to them and increase your sales either by recommending products you have created or are promoting as an affiliate.
The easiest way to get feedback from your subscribers is to add a new message to your auto responder series that asks what they would most like to learn more about. By asking them for their views you will not only find out what they need but you will also build rapport because it shows that you want to hear their opinions.
There are three ways to collect feedback from your subscribers:
1. You can simply ask your subscribers to reply to the message and send their feedback to your email address (or you can specify a different email address for them to send their feedback to if you want it sent to a specific location).
2. You can create a form on a new page on your website that contains a text field and a submit button which your subscribers can use to send their feedback to you (you will need to make sure that the form script is activated in your hosting account before you use this option).
3. You can install a help desk script on your website and send your subscribers to the link where its located so that they can submit a new ticket (you should create a new department in your help desk called feedback which people can select as the recipient for the message).
The feedback you receive will usually reveal a common theme with many people experiencing similar problems but you will also receive other specific suggestions that can give you a great insight into what people in your niche really need and this information can give you ideas for new products which you can create.
Another way that you can get feedback from your subscribers is to create a survey and you can do this by creating a new page on your website that contains multiple text fields. So instead of using a simple form and asking for feedback you can create a detailed survey with multiple choice answers in each text field.
If you decide to use a survey you will need to offer an incentive to your subscribers to encourage them to actually complete it. A free report will usually be enough but if you have a long survey that takes a while to complete you will have to offer a bonus that has a higher perceived value such as an ebook or a software product.
Knowing what your subscribers actually need and want can mean the difference between success and failure so if you want to maximise your sales and increase your profits you should start collecting feedback. If you discover a common problem you can easily create a product that solves it and then sell it to your subscribers.
