When you are doing affiliate marketing, you will have learned that it is important to build your own list that is related to the niche that you are involved in. For example if you are in the fat loss niche and you are able to have your own list, you will be able to promote 2 or even more different kinds of affiliate products that are related to fat loss to your list in the future as long as they are still inside your list.
So having your own list is very important in affiliate marketing. Now the question comes, do I need to have a big list to be successful in affiliate marketing? Having a 50, 000 people in your list can look very impressive. But are they responsive or not? The important thing that you have to take note of is that the quality of your list is actually more important than the quantity of your list.
If you have a 50, 000 people in your list but the majority are not targeted to the niche that you are in, you will get very little sales or even no sales if you promote a products. Some people will get this huge list through buying a list which is highly not recommendable as it will be a complete waste of your time and money.
But if another person only has 500 people in his list and the majorities are targeted to the niche, you will get better response if you are promoting a affiliate product that is related to the niche that your list are interested in. You might have already built a good relationship with your list and this will really help when you want to promote a new affiliate product. This guy who only has 500 people in his list will make more than the guy who has 50,000 in his list.
So you have seen that it is not always necessary that having a bigger list will be better. The more important thing that you have to focus on is to build a quality list. Of course, the bigger quality list that you have, the more money you will earn from affiliate marketing. So instead of focusing on quantity, you should focus on the quality.
