List building is the second most important thing I do in my Internet marketing. Actually, list building is the foundation of everything I do, but I actually put traffic in that list ahead of list building, at least for now. Actually, in reality, they both go hand-in-hand. If I didn't have the traffic, I couldn't build a list. If I've built the traffic up, but didn't build a list, then I wouldn't be making any money.
So list building in traffic go hand-in-hand. So what are list building basics for the beginning list builder?
I think that one of the most important things for the new list builder is that the new list builder must have their own website. When you go online and search for list building and list building tips, etc. , what you may find is that there are many viral list builder version list building websites, etc. etc. that will try to sell you on using they are list building website in that list building software. The bad thing about those list building programs is that they own the names and e-mail addresses, you don't. And one of the biggest things about list building is the asset value of your list. Your list building can produce for you profits, as it continues to convert month after month paying you anywhere from $.50 up to two dollars per named per month. And if you don't have access to the names and e-mails, you really don't have much list, and you don't have much of an asset.
So you have to have your own website.
One of the things that you need to put on your website is a squeeze page. I am a strong believer in squeeze pages, my website is 100% driven by squeeze pages. I do not believe in the traditional index page, I use squeeze pages for everything.
