The fourth best form of online traffic is that which you can get through what is known as viral marketing. In fact, in some cases this can be the best, because it grows and proliferates. If you offer a free ebook to all the visitors you get to your website from the above techniques, they will probably accept it. If you also offer them distribution rights, they will love it and use it to give free to their potential customers, especially if you show them how to do it.
Now, if you pack that ebook full of your affiliate links, offering readers some great software and help with their own businesses, you can make a great deal of money from just the one viral ebook. That’s what viral means, and if done right it can be an amazing way to make money and get traffic to your website.
Another great way to get traffic is to use forums to your advantage, but within the rules of the forum. You can offer forum members help with their problems, and perhaps lead them to your website with a genuine offer of help or advice. Once you can show the other members of the forum that you have something to offer they will have an incentive to visit your website. Forums, after all, tend to be focused on a niche or a specific subject, and you are generally allowed to use your website URL in your signature and profile which is always good advertising within a targeted group of people.
Offer a newsletter as the sixth suggestion. Offer it as an incentive to fill in an opt-in form and as a regular publication to everybody in your list. Building your list with the offer of a newsletter and emailing it regularly can maintain a steady flow of traffic to your website. Make sure that your opt-in form is on every landing page from every advert you have on the internet and off it, and your list will rapidly grow. Your newsletter will have increasingly large number of readers and not only maintain your existing traffic but also increase it.
