Are Private Label Rights Articles Fool's Gold?

There is no authority that can make a flawed idea anything but flawed. In the Internet world of the “Master Resell Rights, Private Label Rights" claims that feed into the “make money now” marketing frenzy, there is a free acceptance of this perceived truth.

Many new and seasoned web site owners rush to accept anything that sputters out of the mouth of the all-mighty Gurus. Some of these claims expounded as truths have little data to back up the claims of finding instant wealth by reselling or even using Master Resell or Private Label Rights Products.

This obvious naiveté of gullible followers results in millions of dollars changing hands on a daily basis for an idea whose time may never come.

Private Label Right Membership sites that provide varying levels of “rights" from Master resell rights to plain “resell rights" have exploded onto the Internet landscape like a nuclear pet rock. These PLR sites provide instant gratification by providing instant content to an information-starved audience.

When thousands of articles and products transfer from PLR Membership sites to hundreds of website owners, the effectiveness and value of each product is diluted.

Google provides the ultimate inducement for webmasters to provide relevant content on their sites. But there is a downside to having content that has been disseminated to hundreds of other Webmaster. The duplicate content penalty is alive and well.

With little discernment of the repercussions for using unedited Private Label Rights articles, thousands of webmasters see the bomb dropped when searching for their site.

The articles and products in most cases are quality content. But how many renditions of the same software will the Internet community purchase before discovering this tactic and slap back.

Private Label Rights Products may be beneficial in the short term to the web master who struggles to maintain content rich sites. Content is the Internet equivalent of cold hard cash. But to keep that cash flowing from Google, the webmaster must edit, modify and re-purpose the content.

The goal of Webmasters and content providers alike is to transform pyrite (fool’s gold) into real gold. Private Label or Master Resell content must only be the starting point for creating rich content sites. Some innovation is required to fully make use of this goldmine of opportunity.
