Product Creation and Launch Mindset

When you are creating and launching a new product, there are several things that cannot be done last minute. Sometimes even proofing your book can take longer than you anticipate, and if you leave the sales page writing for the last minute, you can get snagged there too.

Another thing to think about is third party responsibilities, like web hosting, credit card processing, and fulfillment (getting the new product out to the purchasers).

For example, it can take several days for a new web site to propagate online, so that must be done early in the process.

Also, you need to have several days to create excitement among potential JV partners, and you will also need time to write and rewrite the actual ebook along with the sales copy.

Now for the mindset – you really have to have the idea that you are going to do whatever it takes to make the new product or the launch itself a profitable one.

So what type of a mindset do you need? First of all, you need to make a commitment to yourself that you are going to actually follow through. If you write the first 5 pages and buy web hosting, but do nothing with any of it, all your time is wasted. And make no mistake about it, you will make mistakes, and there will be setbacks.

You must be prepared to weather the setbacks and simply plod on with your ebook product launch. You will only be successful if you finish the process, and get your ebook online and for sale. And it is certainly worth the effort!

The creation of a new product is exciting, and it is truly exciting to watch the first few sales come in. It is nice to see them come in for a few days in a row – even if you anticipate a big launch, it is always exciting when the numbers come in!
