Who works the hardest? The CEO, the shareholders or the factory workers? You know the answer - the factory worker. In fact the shareholders don't really do any work. Their money works for them. They take advantage of the best brains and labor to get their aims achieved.

You'll do a lot of work if you plan to drive all your site's traffic yourself. You don't need to even if you plan to work very long hours on your site's traffic. Your time is better spent making the most of other people's resources.

You can take advantage of all the work that's been done by great sites like Ezinearticles.com. They get tens of thousands of visitors daily. All you have to do is write high value articles and post in the appropriate categories. If your article is well written and optimized, it will certainly be picked faster by the search engines than it would be on your new site.

You'll tap into traffic that comes to their site directly (That amounts to several tens of thousands of visitors daily). You'll also get those that come from search engines results.

Furthermore, you'll also build up your link popularity. Links from sites that have a page rank of up to 7 are pure gold as far as helping your site's standing with the search engines.

You can also post useful comments on blogs with high page rank and/or traffic. That way you'll build some quality links to your site apart from getting some quality traffic.

There are many ways you can tap into other people's resources online. While you brainstorm, use the two I've mentioned here.
