Florida Retirement in the Sunny Warm South

A lot of people have this dream of retiring to Florida. It is possible that it may just be a lot easier than you think to make that dream come true. For some no state income tax may be the break they need to make the plunge. For others it could be the fact that Florida has doubled the homestead exemption and lowered the property taxes for a lot of people. A new law just passed is a limit on the amount they can raise your property tax every year. It may not be much but I always say every little bit adds up to a lot after a while.

As baby boomers age more and more they think it would be better to be in a warmer climate. Florida provides that, no more snow, ice, sleet or keeping a backup source for heat.

We have housing and retirement communities to suit everyone needs. All price ranges from the low end and if you are creative I bet you could talk Trump out of his estate in Palm Beach if the price is right. The options are endless for any taste or life style. You can choose a country setting, rural setting to in one of the big cities. You could choose the beach, on one of the thousands of lakes and in some places on a river.

You can have a very active life style and stay busy with your heart desires 24/7. There is no limit to the types of activities that are available to the baby boomer and his family. If you still plan to keep some kind of job there are a lot of options for the retirees to do something they like with an area that is so diverse.

Baby boomers that want to add to their education have many options available from arts and crafts to getting another degree or finishing one. You will not be stuck with the kids doing it because adding to your education is very popular among retirees.

I know there are a lot of people in the age range from 55 to 75 still love fishing. We have some of the best in the world here. Every kind of fish and angler you could think of to target them. Catch a 100lb Silver King on a Fly Rod can be done here and have guides to put you right on them every day. We have one of the fastest growing populations in the USA but not to worry about overcrowding because Florida is a very big state with lots of room for growth for many years to come.

We have some of the best health care services in the country with some of the latest technology and treatment programs available. If you would like the body makeover, face lift or nose job this is the place to get it.
