Family Activities on a Budget

Family activities quality time spent together as a unit can be hard to all be in the same place at the same time so planning activities you can all achieve together would be time well spent. Its not just about board games or things done at Christmas after dinner, kids bore easily so be a bit creative. If you just don't have the money to spend on fairgrounds and the likes that cost a fortune here are some activities that cost only for materials you probably already have at home. Find and collect.

Give each child a bag as you head off on a nature walk, or a walk around the local park. Each of them has to collect disgaurded items. , obviously before they pick anything up they need your approval.

Things like coins, can rings, cones , leaves , unusual items. This not only keeps them entertained, It will also amaze you, as they find Items. When you've done a round trip , back home It's time for the arts and craft activities. Materials needed, pva glue, water based paints , brushes , card and paper, string etc , any creative items you may have lying about . Recycled items are always useful, egg cartons, yoghurt pots , cereal boxes. They can create a model or picture or whatever comes to mind incorporating these findings.

With help from Mum & Dad, before you know it a whole day’s gone . With these two activities, the kids will love It and parents also spends quality time with their children which cost nothing. If you’re worried about them using discarded items, explain you have to see things before they touch a child is resilience to a lot of things.

The important thing is you have spent quality time as a family . Times In which a child will always remember. If you are a family fortunate enough to live close to the sea and sand, This Is another ideal place to hunt for findings .

Although there are many hidden dangers of the water and crowds, If you choose further down the beach away from the masses it tends to be less crowded. Under close supervision a walk along will find all kinds of materials . Small people's and rocks ( can be painted used as paper weights ).

Older children 10+ May like to take there metal detectors , if you don't have one it's worth investing in one . even if you find nothing the various age groups will of enjoyed the day just as much as the youngest child . All ages covered , quality time spent as a family unit.
