Summer Party - It’s Time To Get Beachy

Visitors: 452

Look out of that window, hear those birds singing, those flowers blooming in your backyard, the blue sky above, the smiling sun illuminating every blade of grass; doesn’t all of this make you happy? If yes, then you are ready to celebrate this summer time. Rejoice the warmth, soak into the sunny day and enjoy a perfect summer party.

Summers are best enjoyed on beaches, so why not let everyone relive the excitement of going to a beach with a beach theme party? A beach party can be organised both indoors and outdoors. For an indoor beach, enough space should be made available. So firstly you have to choose the most spacious room and arrange the furniture in such a way that there is enough room for the party. Next step would be to create the beach look for your theme. If you don’t want to bring real sand into your room, sand coloured carpets will do just fine. A few large beach umbrellas will help enhance the feel. Large beach wallpapers draped on the walls would give the illusion of a real beach. If you can arrange a projector, projecting live beach videos on the walls will be even better. If you possess any stuff related to beaches like your old surf board, or conches etc, place them in strategic positions where everyone can get a clear view and appreciate your penchant for detailing in your theme parties.

For an outdoor beach party, sand becomes an integral part, and the whole thing will get a new dimension if arranged near a water source. All others things like chairs and umbrellas are necessary in this case too.

Moving from decoration to dress code, here also we should keep the beach theme in mind. But that doesn’t mean everyone has to be in swim suits. Baggy pants, Hawaiian shirts and short dresses are perfectly suited for the occasion. And getting creative, mermaid or merman attire, getting dressed as crabs etc can also be done to add a bit of zing to the party theme.

Now comes the turn of food. The food should basically be sea food to mix in with the theme of the party. Various fish dishes, fried or grilled can be served along with oriental delicacies. Make sure that the food is fresh and tasty. If you can’t bear the ordeal of making them at home, order from a restaurant which excels in sea food. Drinks should also be arranged, fruit punches and margaritas constituting the major part. Iced beverages and fruit shakes can also be used. If you want a natural feel, coconut water is the best option and also enhances the beach theme.

Some nice music can really rev up a party and help diminish the lull which can occur in such parties. Choose soft and soothing numbers during the evening and rocking numbers for the night when everyone is soaked in the mood of the party.

Now everything is set up for a great occasion and it’s time to celebrate summer and enjoy the thrill and excitement of a beach in your home.
