In writing a eulogy, you must remember that this kind of speech is personal and does not have to be perfect. A eulogy speech is meant to pay tribute to the person who just died. Losing a loved one is a painful experience, but you have to accept it in any way. Commemorating the deceased will help you ease the pain you feel in your heart. A eulogy speech is one perfect way to honor the life of the person.

Before writing a eulogy, you must first recognize the fact that it is an honor to be chosen as the person who will write and deliver the eulogy because you are given the opportunity to recall and reminisce the special times you have spent with the deceased. You are also given the chance to make people remember the dead person through your words.

In writing a eulogy speech, you have to recall the memories you've had with the person who passed away. Put in your speech the many good things you've been through, how the person is, and how well you know about the person's enjoyment of life. Include things you know that other people must not have known. The audience will appreciate surprising things about the person. Write the speech with your whole heart and do not mind about being too informal and emotional. In your delivery, care less about looking stupid when you show emotions; the audience will perfectly understand anyway. Remember that what matters is what you write in the speech, not how you say it.
