Care of your Moses basket
Congratulations you have bought your new moses basket, and it looks lovely!
Once you have your wonderful new Moses basket there are a number of processes you can do to ensure it remains in tip top condition for your new arrival!
I recommend washing the padding and shell dressing regularly. As we all know babies have little accidents and these can quickly stain and cause the material to fade if not cleaned quickly. If you are moving the Moses basket between a daytime room and the baby’s nursery this will also help prevent damage to the dressing and keep it looking beautiful throughout your baby’s stay in it.
Don’t over tighten the hood fittings. These can wear overtime if too much pressure is put on them. We recommend that the stay a quarter of a turn after they become tight. This will ensure the hood does not start to fall back when in use and therefore giving the privacy that you need when your baby is asleep.
Do not use the basket to carry your baby or anything heavy, as this will damage the handles they are merely decorative and are not designed with this in mind. Moses baskets are recommended for use up to 8kg or 17 pounds.
Also recommended is that you use the correct basket stand. Although most are standard some have different widths compared to the baskets. This can mean excessive wear on the palm of the basket making it look unsightly.
Follow these simple steps and your Moses basket will be enjoyed for as long as it is required.
If however the dressings become faded from repeated washing or you simply fancy a change of design. We offer a range of basket dressings sold separately from the basket. At Bumps to Bundles
