Food and nutritional means of treating your baby to get rid of eczema will provide you with long term solutions to many of the problems that come from eczema. This article will begin to show and explain to you a cross section of some of the guidelines that you will want to follow that will put you on track to starve eczema into remission while you are feeding your baby.
There are two things that you will want to do to assist you with making sure that the foods you give your baby are uplifting to him, but detrimental to his eczema. The first is, you will want to know what type of eczema your baby has. This will help you to determine which pool of foods and treatments you want to pull from when deciding which treatments to give him.
The second thing you will want to do is keep a food journal and diarize the food that your baby eats. Well actually, you will want it to be a more complete eczema journal that would catalog any information that is important to help you heal your baby's eczema. You will want to write down the food he ate, the place where the flare up began, the temperature and relative humidity, the clothes he was wearing, how long since the clothes had last been washed and with what detergents etc. The way you will use it is after two or three eczema flare ups (if he has that many after you start these other treatments) and look for any similarities that may be present and represent possible sources of itching and eczema.
Once you have this information, you will then want to put in one of the more basic eczema treatments for babies. That is breastfeeding. When you breastfeed your baby you help to suppress the eczematic activity that is lying in wait inside his body. The thing with eczema is that it is always there just waiting for some type of provocation to get it flared up.
Not only is breastfeeding itself good for your baby, but there are also nutritional supplements and fatty acids that you can add to your diet, that will pass into your baby in his breast milk. When you find out the correct types of fats and begin to use them for yourself and your baby, you will see hardly any eczema activity in him at all. The studies with women and babies who follow these treatments have shown that well past the babies’ 4th birthday that there were still no significant problems with eczema.
Women in the test who were only given placebos instead of the actual fats had flare ups in their babies that were similar to those of people who had no treatments.
