Baby Eczema - 6 Reasons to Breast Feed When Avoiding Baby Eczema

If you have a baby that has eczema or is at risk of having eczema, you do him good when you breast feed him. For the most part a baby that is under 9 months to one year old is helpless to defend himself against allergies and irritants from within. This article speaks with you about 6 reasons why it is good to breastfeed your baby to avoid eczema.

The first reason why you will want to breastfeed your baby to avoid eczema is because your breast milk will put a lining of allergy and irritant resistant enzymes along the insides of his intestines. This stops poisons from crossing over and flowing into his blood stream.

By observation it has been duly noted that babies who are breastfed and have eczema usually do not have as intense flare ups as infants with eczema that are not breastfed.

Often times cow's milk is used instead of breast milk. This is a mistake. People with eczema need to avoid dairy products in general. However, milk is considered to be an irritant as it contains up to 20 or more irritants.

If your child is under 3 months of age it is better for your child that he be breastfed. Until 3 months of age, his body does not produce antibodies on its own to bolster his immune system. He depends on his mother's milk to supply his body with these eczema retarding strengths.

Beyond three months of age, it will still help you to help him avoid having eczema if you continue to breastfeed him. Even though it is stronger than it was during the first three months of his life, his immune system will still be able to benefit immensely from the eczema preventing strengths provided by a mother's milk. When you do this, the goal you are trying to achieve is that you want to use this method to try and have him outgrow eczema at an early age.

While this may not directly affect him as a baby, if your child has to go with this disease for any length of time, for every month that he is breastfed, he is expected to have an exponentially higher IQ than the average person. His higher intelligence will help him to recognize things about himself that he can use to treat himself and overcome the disease.
