Is is just me or are these baby shoes totally in bad taste?
Sure they're just for fun (or heelarious, as the company is so wittily called) - but stilettos for babies? Really? Did I just pass out and wake up in an alternative universe where that seems OK?
These soft pram shoes (the heel is soft) are supposed to be aimed at ‘fashionable’ parents and are a novelty item for dressing up and having a bit of freaky fun. OK so I added in the freaky bit, but I am utterly astonished that anyone would think this was marketable.
I just find them plain weird - I mean leopard print? Isn't that more sex kitten Samantha Jones in Sex and the City's style?
One of the creators said: “I've always been a shoe freak and I thought, ‘Omigawd, what if you could take a baby to a party wearing high heels? It would be hilarious!'"
Yes, of course. THAT'S what my baby was always missing at parties - a pair of dressing up shoes that makes her look like she's the daughter of a lady of dubious means (as my grandma used to say). She must have thought I was such a bad mother for denying her such fun.

Is it me overreacting?
This pair are called She's A Little Lady. No she's not, she's a baby. A BABY
Aren't high heels supposed to be sexy and seductive? Please god, can our little girls not be little girls for just a bit longer.
What next? Baby push-up bras? Baby tattoos?
Our babies aren't there for our own personal amusement. It reminds me of the horrendous t-shirts some online companies are peddling for toddlers. Who buys this stuff?
For heaven's sake, if you want to dress a little baby up like that, buy a doll.
What do you think? Am I blowing my top over nothing or are these shoes just a step too far?
I am an English working mum with two young children and a slightly less demanding career.
