All About The Prom Party

A prom party is one of the greatest things you are supposed to look forward to at school. Some people even consider it as a reward for all the kids who went to a decade’s worth of effort to finish school. Still, the idea some people have of throwing a party after a party can get rather ridiculous. Unless you’re referring to the actual prom itself, which while also important has been dropping off in favor of parties at home with fewer rules. They can also choose whom to invite.

Well most school proms tend to not allow students to bring dates who are underclassmen or from different schools. Bad idea, they’re not going to cheat on their boyfriend or girlfriend just to go to a school dance. Nor are they going to just stand there alone. So after all prom parties tend to emphasize the opposite rule. Serving punch is traditional at parties, so is spiking it during the prom party, so make sure someone guard’s the punch. Also most proms tend to end early in the evening, while not much can be done about that it lets everyone go to a second later party. This one tends to get much rowdier with sleep deprivation and spiked drinks. Beware of this happening.

For decorations the main reason you are reading this, the standard banners and streamers are a must. Also flashing lights or anything that can resemble a dance club would make for a good addition. Many proms have taken to playing light rock or techno as dance music. Finally since it is mainly a dance all food must be quick and portable. And all dishes must be made to be thrown away by lazy guests. This also includes paper table covers for any table you may have set up.
