How to Avoid Chemicals in Tap Water

Visitors: 177

Just imagine, ever since mankind stepped, crawled out of the cave, he has been in search of clean drinking water. In the early days, a trip to the river to get water might have resulted in a sore stomach or even a quick trip behind the bush.

Today we are fortunate that water is readily available to everyone. But like the caveman who was careful about his river water, we still have to be concerned about chemicals in tap water.

These days we have many options to think about when we consider out water sources. The most convenient is to simply drink tap water. The availability of tap water in the house makes it easy to keep hydrated all throughout the day. The main concern everyone should have though is the amount of chemicals in tap water.

The caveman was probably concerned about bacteria in his water but he never had to contend with the amount of chemicals in tap water that our water supply is exposed to on a daily basis in the 21st century.

A recent article by the Associated Press reported on traces of pharmaceutical drugs in the drinking water of 41 million Americans. It's unbelievable that these drugs can be still in our water supply after all the municipal purifying that is done.

Tranquilizers, sex hormones and antibiotics were only some of the drugs that were detected in test results of some major American cities. The list goes on and on. By the time I finished reading this article, I was beginning to get alarmed over the water I had been drinking for years.

I don't know about you but I realized that I would have to begin to take control of the water supply that my family drinks. This is easily done by using an under counter water filter.

If you are like me, you will probably spend hours on the Internet looking to find all the information that you can. This is the first step to becoming an informed consumer.

What I found is that the best water filtration systems are not necessarily the most expensive. Diligent research will uncover that many systems can be purchased that are affordable for all incomes.

Your goal? To start putting these ideas together and find the purist water source for your family. Make no mistake about it, the only way to ensure that your family is drinking the cleanest water is to take control of the water supply yourself. We have come along way in producing clean drinking water from the days of the caveman, but we still have a long way to go ensure there are no chemicals in tap water sources that we drink.
