Slow Draining Kitchen Sinks Two Easy Ways to Fix it Fast

Visitors: 152

Of the multitude of intractable plumbing problems that are treated with a great of trepidation by large swathes of population, the one that provokes dudgeon with unfailing regularity are slow draining kitchen sinks.

A painfully slow and sluggish drain in the kitchen can easily deflate whatever optimism one possesses within the confines of this space. Considering the fact that it is used so frequently, having a kitchen sink drag its feet leads to a mountain of unwashed dishes and stalls the cooking process for an indefinite time period.

In short, a fully functional kitchen sink is simply indispensable and its absence amounts to chaos on the brink.

A clogged sink is messy, problematical and is not something you want when you struggling to fix dinner after a long, tiring day at work.

Win That Interminable Battle

Before you steel yourself to deal with that recalcitrant kitchen sink, it's important to understand the root cause of this recurring problem. In all cases, the kitchen sink gets clogged when food particles, like vegetable and fruit peels, find their way into the pipe. So the best solution is to ensure that they are consigned to garbage bins and not the sink.

If the block is moderate, then a homemade drain cleaner is sure to diffuse tensions. Just pour a combination of ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar gingerly. Let this concoction work magic for a few hours before you let running water validate the sparkling results.

If you think grease is the villain of the piece, combine ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of salt, followed by a modicum of boiling water. Allow this mixture to work overnight. You are sure to wake up the next morning to a clear sink and a clearer mind.

Isn't it such a relief to find a permanent solution to this niggling issue?
