Bath VS Shower- which is best for your house

Now which one is best?? I am about to begin the process of redecorating my main bathroom but I'm not sure what's best to have- a shower or a bath. I currently have a shower, but I do miss the idea of being able to have a long lazy soak.

My main concern is space, the bathroom is not that big it is the perfect size for a luxurious shower with large ceramic tiles all around and a huge shower head, but I don’t know if a bath would fit well. Of course there is enough space for one as otherwise there would be no point even considering it but I think it would make the bathroom look even smaller which would not be ideal.

The next question is, if I would even use it that much. In theory it sounds fantastic to be able to have long soak after a hard week at work; however, will I have the time? I now find myself having quick showers as I am always running late so having a bath would be out of the question.

I have also heard that having a bath instead of a shower could add value to the house as little as it may be. So what if not having a bath could loose me a sale on the house if I even plan on selling it, but then again it the small bathroom with a bath could also put people off.

Even though it is a tough decision I believe keeping with a shower and making it lovely and luxurious would be the best option due to the size of the room, as well as me finding myself using the bath often when it is first installed but then the novelty wearing of and not using it at all.

Even though adding a bath could add value, home improvements can be a difficult if you are planning on selling it in the near or far future so it is best to make the changes which you desire, as there will be other people who will like a similar interior design.
