Denver Decor - Mile High Cozy Lives Like Home in Sunset Decadence

Visitors: 201

Decorating a home in the Mile High City becomes a challenge only if you don't have mountain views. Can you imagine living in Denver and not seeing the mountains? Amazingly enough, there are places where you cannot see the mountains and you don't even realize you're living in Denver unless you leave home.

I bought the house site unseen, but I asked the realtor if there were great views. He said yes and I believed him. But he didn't realize I meant mountains.

Colors challenge the view.

I'm an earth tone girl. I love the deep rich colors of the mountains, and they live well. When I start selecting colors for my space I think mountain sunsets. Brilliant colors expanding the sky and nights that light up the world. Those gorgeous golds and yellows compounded by purples and burgundies that open up the space to lively nights.

Can you imagine life without color?

Let the colors you love dance around your rooms. Even in today's cosmopolitan bland tract housing, you can add colors that delight and bolster your lifestyle. Consider a sofa the color of eggplant in your white walled room with beige carpet. Toss on pillows in orange, yellow and gold. Add a burgundy chase lounge and rich mahogany tables. Include a few pieces of colossal artwork on the walls, and throw in a bit of white now and then for continuity. You've got a room your friends will love to live in and color you can dance to.

Beige backgrounds don't have to be boring. They can be bold, daring and decadent.

After a short commute with views of the mountains, my home envelopes me in colors of the mountain sunsets. Mile high living transforms my Denver lifestyle with color combinations that rock my world.

Whether you live in the Denver Metro area or not, colors of the Rocky Mountains can Rock your World.
