How To Tell If Your Carpet Cleaner Is A Professional

Visitors: 253

More than before it is so easy for someone to setup a carpet cleaning business with no experience. So how can you tell? There are some schools that certify carpet cleaners and give basic knowledge. Below are the main ones that you should expect your carpet cleaner to have attended and been certified by at least one if not more.

National Carpet Cleaners Association.

The National Carpet Cleaner Association is the one that you should expect your carpet cleaner to have passed and have membership of. The carpet cleaners association is the UK's main carpet cleaning association. You can check membership by calling 0116 271 9550.

Always check membership as many carpet cleaners don't keep up their membership and full behind with what's new and the risks with new fabrics and carpets.

City & Guilds In Cleaning Science

As we all know City and guilds have been around for years, but what you might not know is they do a certification in Cleaning Science. Not many carpet cleaners have this one but it's a good one to look out for as it shows a deep level of cleaning science understanding.

The British Institute Of Cleaning Science

This is the UK's largest cleaning trade body and is the main general body that educates cleaners. It has a code of ethics and all its members have to keep to this.

Woolsafe Approved Cleaner.

For the professionals cleaners provide

  • an international accreditation program for carpet and upholstery maintenance chemicals
  • a training and accreditation program for professional carpet and upholstery cleaning companies and cleaning technicians
  • A training and registration program for independent carpet inspectors.

Institute Of Inspection Cleaning And Restoration

The IICRC was formed in 1972 to serve as an independent, non-profit certification body, to set and promote high standards and ethics; and to advance communication and technical proficiency within the inspection, cleaning and restoration service industry.
