The Latest Trends in Patio Furniture Keep You On The Move

Today, patios are furnished better than ever. From table and chair sets, to comfortable couches and chaises, to outdoor kitchens, we're seeing more living being done outside, and our patios reflect this. Another emerging trend we're seeing more of is portable, multi-use furniture.

Most items in the marketplace exist because of consumer demand. Patio furniture is no different. People wanted more comfortable furniture in contemporary styles with easy-care finishes. Then they wanted all these things in a portable package.

Maybe it's because we like the versatility of moving our furniture around. Maybe it's because we're much busier, and we like the option of taking our favorite furniture with us. Or maybe it's because, as the popular statistic states, we move 11 times in our lifetime. That's about once every seven years. Many of us move more often than that, due to lifestyle or job changes.

At any rate, we like our furniture movable. So manufacturers have delivered. They have created folding chairs, folding tables and even entire folding patio sets. Some tables come complete with self-storing leaves, which increases their surface area for entertaining. You will even find some pieces with their own carrying cases for added convenience. Though this furniture is compact, it's not short on style and comfort.

It doesn't end with furniture, either. You will find that nearly every available patio accessory comes in a portable version as well. Lighting, heaters, fountains and other décor can all be found in movable styles.

Some people are reluctant to purchase the patio furniture they really want because they're concerned about storage issues. Today's portable furniture make it easy to find what you love, in a low-maintenance, convenient design.

So when you are done sprawling out on your patio, you can then fold your furniture into a tidy little bundle for storage. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Gordon Kaye likes chairs that go where he goes. And folding patio furniture does just that. Gordon is a sales consultant at http://www.myperfectpatio.com outdoor living boutique.
