Triple Your Income Using Niche Markets - Part 2 of 2

Niche marketing can be one of the most profitable Internet activities available. In Part 1, I discussed the process involved in finding profitable niches and how to locate suitable affiliate products. In this article, I will cover how to capitalize in these smaller areas and make money in that sector.

Once you located a suitable sector and have between 2 and 5 suitable affiliate products, you are ready to make money online. Ideally, you need either your own blog or website. If you do not have one, you can establish a free one by doing a search. Having your own website will require that you have some knowledge of html to enter data. If you are not familiar with html, you might be better off using a free blog. Entering information on a blog is very easy and requires no specialized knowledge or skills. If you can use a word processor, you will have no problem with a blog.

Once you have a website or blog, you are ready to start making money. It is best to start out by building a list. Find a good (or write your own) short report that is related to the subject of your site. Offer this as an incentive to those who subscribe to your list. Then, once a week or so, send an email offer for one of your related affiliate products to the members of your list. This is why it is important to have between 2 and 5 affiliate products. You do not want to hammer your list with the same product with every mailing.

If you cannot build a list, you can send traffic directly to the sales page for your affiliate products. This can be done using several techniques. I like to write articles. In each article you submit, include a resource box containing 3 links. One link will direct readers to the sign-in page to grow your list (if you are building one). The other links will point viewers to the sales pages of the products that you are promoting. This is an effective way to generate traffic.

In addition, along with your articles, you should use other forms of advertising. First and foremost, you should place ads on every page of your website or blog. This is an absolute must! In addition, you should use some of these other traffic generating techniques; free ads, classified ads, solo email ads, ezine advertising, and forums. It is important that you use several different methods as you will get much more traffic that way.

So, if you are not making money online, check out the opportunities in the smaller niche markets. It is much less crowded there and will enable you to triple the income that you are making in those huge, highly competitive areas.
