Sadly there are people who want to scam you any way they can. Let's continue on looking at a couple of more tips to be aware of that you might be scammed.

1. Two of the most popular websites for job hunting on the Internet are Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com. One thing to be careful of is a phishing e-mail that may come to you after you set up in an account with these type of sites.

The email will say that there is a problem with your account and you need to click on this link to install new software. Actually what happens is you end you end up on a website that then installs a virus on your computer.

2. One of the most common scams is where you are told that you can get rich working at home. Certainly there are people today that make money working at home for themselves, but there are also scammers trying to take advantage of stay at home moms, senior citizens, handicapped, and really anyone who wants to work at home.

You should exercise extreme caution before joining any program without doing a thorough background check. There are discussion forums you can join to do research on a company just by asking the members their opinion on the program you are looking at. Just Google search “work at home forums" to find a few.

Also One website that can be helpful is the Better Business Bureau at www.BBB.org. Here you can see if there are complaints against any program or company.

In our next article we will look at a couple of more things to watch out for and wrap us this short online job scam warning article series.
