What Are the Top 15 Fat Burning Foods?

If you want to lose weight but don't want to starve yourself doing it, it's probably a good idea to learn about which particular foods are fat burning foods. I've assembled a list of the top 15 fat burning foods that are not only great for your health but taste good as well. Some of them might just surprise you in their effectiveness.

The problem with denying yourselves all your favorite food by dramatically reducing your caloric intake is all you really lose is water weight. I personally think it is a great waste of money to chase down the latest diet pill when there are perfectly good foods out there that can have just as dramatic an effect.

With your consumption of these foods your metabolism increases and this, in turn, helps your burn away excess fat that your body is storing. I'll talk a little about the rest of this strategy later in the article. This is really just a small portion of an effective system of rapid fat loss.

Let's start with the fruits. These not only burn fat but help hydrate your system as well:

1. Apples
2. Blackberries
3. Blueberries
4. Cherries
5. Cranberries
6. Grapes and
7. Honeydew Melon

And now let's turn our attention to the vegetables:

1. Asparagus
2. Broccoli
3. Cabbage
4. Carrots
5. Cauliflower
6. Cucumbers
7. Peppers and
8. Pumpkin

I don't know about you but there are some tasty combinations in those lists. Studies show that shellfish such as lobster and crab are also excellent candidates as fat burning foods.

But it's not really enough to know which food to eat to help with your fat burning goal. It is also vitally important to know when and in what combination to eat them. You see, certain food combinations can help your brain trigger hormones at particular times of the day that help you burn the fat.

Surprisingly, the more protein that you eat the easier it is for you to lose weight. Now here is (literally) an ancient Chinese secret. I learned from an acupuncturist friend of mine. Apparently proteins and starches use different enzymes for digestion. So another aspect of losing pounds and inches can be simply avoiding sandwiches. I know for a fact that this worked for me. Interestingly enough it is just the opposite with fats and starch. So, (within reason) it's fine to have a bit of bread and butter, just not a hamburger on a bun.

As I said, this is just a small portion of a revolutionary new method of weight control. It doesn't involve you missing out on your favorite foods, it merely means eating them in exciting new combinations.
