I'm going to take the time to talk to you about intermittent fasting and it's ability to help you lose weight. A lot of people aren't sure about this and that is fine. The research coming out on this is relatively new and so that means their is suspicion. I'll talk about what I think and how it can help you.
What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is a diet the consists of periods where you eat what you want and periods of fasting. The research that recently came out was for eating for 24hrs and fasting for 24hrs. The study has showed people that have eaten like this have lost weight, had improved health with any sort of health issue and were believed to be able to live longer.
Is it natural?
No one is really quite sure, but when it comes to me and new ideas, I always try to look back in the past and see if it would seem probable.
Take the caveman days. Do you think the diet of a caveman would of been three meals a day, everyday? Probably not. As a hunter, there would be some days better than others, and days with no food. I imagine when a big animal was caught, they had a feast and stuff their faces, while the next they probably didn't eat anything.
This is how I predict if it is probably because that's how things used to work. It's how our biology was developed to work.
Obviously, if you're going to attempt this, you'll want to do it right and safe. That's why I think you should pick up a copy of Eat Stop Eat. It's a guide book for intermittent fasting. I think it is important to have a guide to show you how to do it properly, so you don't endanger yourself by not eating.
