In fact, what the study did show is that it takes diet plus exercise or exercise alone to burn visceral fat. The key component of course being exercise. So from this, it is easy to conclude that the fastest way to burn off visceral fat is by exercising.

As for what type of exercises to perform will depend on you level of fitness. If you are a sedentary person, you should start off by walking at least 6 days a week. And if you can, try to go for at least 30 minute. If you can't, then do what you can and build up to that time.

For those who are in better shape, biking, jogging, or taking aerobics are better options you can try to burn of visceral fat. The most important thing to remember in any aerobic type exercise is to exercise with enough intensity to get your heart in its fat burning zone.
