I'm the type of person who always looks for the simple and easiest way to accomplish something. Instead of inventing fire, I use a lighter. Instead of growing my own vegetables and fruits, I purchase them from the store. When it comes to dropping a few pounds or more, and doing so without any side effects, I try to find the simplest ways to do it. In this article, I will discuss some of those ways with you.
First, substitute high calorie foods with low calorie foods that have a high calorie taste. This way you don't feel like you are losing out on anything. Instead of a big bloody steak, you can eat lobster. Did you know that a 6 ounce serving of lobster only has 166 calories? Why you are at it, you can toss in some shrimp - 6 large shrimp only contain 30 calories. Not a bad deal, considering the taste!
This even works for dessert - find excuses to use whip cream, because it's only 8 calories per tablespoon. Add this with some fruit and you have a desert that is as good as any Little Debbie snack cake.
Second, if you're eating high calorie foods, trick them. Here's what I mean. If you are munching on those fatty and tasty potato chips, make sure to eat them with a lot of chunky vegetable-fresh salsa. In this case, you will quickly fill up on the salsa before you overeat too many potato chips. You can alternate spoonfuls of ice cream with bites of blueberries, and so on. Get creative.
Third, find a different reward for yourself besides soda or juice. Most people drink an extra hundred thousand calories a year simply from unnecessary soda consumption. Did you know that 100,000 calories translates into over 25 pounds? The reason why we drink soft drinks is because they taste good.
Find other ways to pleasure yourself instead of with soft drinks. Calculate how much money you spend on these, and then buy movies with them instead or save up and purchase something expensive for yourself!
See what I mean? Like I said, I am all about keeping it simple and easy. If you follow the three things I've outlined above, you will be on your way to losing weight. And it didn't take much effort or change to accomplish this, did it?
