Visitors: 175

Sooner or later you'll start to realize that most weight problems comes from bad habits and that changing those habits will lead to a better situation and weight loss.

The first and most important step is to identify the bad habits. Think of times when you overeat and try to find out what triggers the behaviour.

Once you have identified those triggers you can start to process them and losing them. This will help you a lot in your pursuit of weight loss.

When we overeat there are usually a habit behind it that gives us comfort. The foods we consume at these moments are often of low nutritional value, fattening and they more often than not stimulates to even more consumption.

Changing your comfort foods to foods of higher nutritional value will eliminate one trap that leads to weight gain. You also eliminate the side-effects from poor foods, like increasing the LDL-cholesterol.

In everyday life we go on autopilot, meaning that habits are a part of us and we eat following these routines and that makes it harder to find the really bad habits and differing them from the good ones.

When we get older we get more and more habits. You know, when talking to people in their 70's they are often thought of as stubborn and rigid. This is the habits that they have acquired throughout life. We are habitual beings. Habits are what give us a sense of control. That is why we go the same route to work everyday for example.

With a bit of personal analysis you will find the habits and the triggers.

When starting out it is very important to only target one habit at a time even if you identified several of them. The reason for this is that habits dies hard. The good news is that changing one habit will affect other ones and it will be easier along the way.

Jennifer Olsen was a master of failing at different diets. She understood that there were more to losing weight then just going on a diet. Today she has lost nearly 50 pounds with the calorie-shifting diet and meanwhile she has finished reading ‘Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle’ and she is implementing what she learned into daily activities.

She made a mini-site that gives examples of diets, complete fast weight loss diets and reviews of books that helped her stop living the unhealthy life and turning around into a more healthy life-style. If you are interested in learning more please Click Here !
