Eczema a common skin condition found in all racial groups. It comes from Greek word – means ‘to boil over’. Later it adapted for the skin condition that refers exactly to its meaning. This may clear out by adolescence; many are continue suffering in their lives. It is a chronic, itchy inflammation of the skin. It may especially appear in elbows, knees bend or neck and face. In children, to manage eczema is difficult due to the scratching and prickly symptoms especially at night. Commonly affected areas are cheeks, back, arms, stomach etc in kids. In elders it founds in neck, eyelids, hands, wrists etc.

Causes: Skin infection by yeast known pityrosporum is thought to play a key role in Seborrhoeic eczema. It also includes eczema of the legs, hands (pompholyx an intensively itchy form) and sometimes blisters.

Symptoms: Common symptom is itch.

  • Increases the redness of skin (increases blood flow)
    • Thickening, blisters
    • crusts

Eczema classifies or grades: It grades are based on degree of activity and duration this has been active. They are: Acute –means of rapid onset – it appears for a small period also vigorous activity. Chronic means long –standing- once the initial stage is over it died down a bit of skin that has been eczematous for a time being appears dry and cracked. Another grade is Infected – found at any stage.

You can cure and control it using preventive steps for flaring:

Bath with a mild soap only like: Facedoctor Medicated soap or rejuvenating soap. Avoid using too hot water for shower. Control scratching the infected areas on skin. Apply moisturizers for keeping your skin supple and smooth. It prevents cracks if any. Use fragrance –free moisturizer. Cotton fabrics are best for wear – it’s soft and breathable.

It can flare up if can’t control stress, nervousness, depression. Dietary restrictions: include eggs, peanuts, seafood, citrus, milk, soy etc.

Apply Cold pressed virgin olive oil to skin after shower moisturizes the skin and have plentiful of vitamin E also. Aloe Vera gels has also a good anti –inflammatory property that can cure eczema. An essential part of good diet includes omega3 oils. Drink 8 glasses of water to hydrate cells. Avoid caffeine from your diet. Have a diet that rich in proteins, healthy oils, fruits etc.

Exfoliate your skin once in a week to remove dead cells, thus have more flexible new layers. The ingredients like jojoba oil, sea buckthorn oil, Olive oil, rose hip oil etc is best to cure eczema. Try using the products that contains these valuable ingredients-preferably face doctor products for you.
