Secure Your Beautiful Brown Skin at Every Age

Visitors: 215

The darker skin toned people such as blacks, Asians, Hispanic Americans do show signs of aging as they get older, however, and they may not wrinkle as much as Caucasian women. They seem to be more sinkers and saggers. The cheeks may drop, the jaw line drops, the convexities become concavities. The melanin in their skin can play a photo protective role, but experts now know this is only at the surface level. The damaging effects of the sun affect the dermis (middle level) where the collagen is that results in loss of fullness. The use of sunscreen is still a must for darker skin tones to help prolong the tightness of the skin.

Twenties Concerns:

  • Oiliness, acne, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Even if your skin is flawless you still need to have a skin care regimen to keep it that way at least once a day and more if the skin is oily. You also need to apply sunscreen to prevent premature aging.

  • Cleanse
  • Hydrate
  • Protect the skin

To help with teenage behavioral patterns of excess oiliness and premenstrual breakouts:

  • Topical antibiotics and retinoids or benzoyl peroxide to control the breakouts
  • For more serious acne, there is Accutane
  • Also used is retinols, glycolic acid, lactic acid, alpha-hydroxy acid in some combination to stimulate collagen, to smooth skin, even tone, and get you glowing

    Thirties Concerns:

  • Expression lines
  • Discoloration
  • Texture changes
  • Flesh moles
  • Facial hair growth

    Professional solutions include:

  • Working both on the preventive and healing ends of the aging spectrum
  • Vitamin C serums can help with prevention and healing
  • Vitamin C is also critical for collagen production, without it, the skin will sag and appear dull
  • Monthly facials and mild glycolic peels as a form of combination therapy to address textural and tonal changes among the 30-plus women
  • It may be a good time to look into Botox for smoothing expression lines or wrinkles
  • Flesh moles that appear are easily removed with a hyfrecator, an electrical tool that sears the moles and causes them to fall off within two weeks

    At Home Care:

  • Every day care is very important
  • Be sure to keep under eye skin hydrated while addressing fine lines and puffiness

    Forties Concerns:

  • Sagging
  • Frown lines
  • Dark circles
  • Lackluster tone

    Professional solutions include:

  • Liquid face-lifts may eventually replace surgical face-lifts as they improve volume, make the skin appear firmer, control frown lines all without surgery
  • Skin contouring in the chin and neck areas is popular through lipo-sculpture, which is liposuction combined with artistic sculpting

    At Home Care:

  • It is time to step up your skin-care regimen
  • Look for treatment lines that are high in antioxidants to diminish the signs of aging from textural and tone changes to fine lines

    Fifties and Beyond Concerns:

  • Crow's feet
  • Deeper lines around the nose and mouth
  • Thinning of the upper lip
  • Loss of facial volume

    Professional solutions include:

  • Minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatments
  • With aging, the top lip tends to turn under, a lot of professionals are injecting hyaluronic acid
  • Chemical peels and/or microdermabrasion are routinely scheduled
  • Lasers are also effective as an anti-aging option for tightening or evening out the complexion

    At Home Care:

  • The treatment regimen should definitely include pentapeptides to ray things up
  • Pentapeptides are an ingredient found to stimulate collagen and elastin formation to help produce younger looking skin
  • Use products to combat wrinkles and fine lines
