Eczema Causes - What Are Top Main Eczema Causes?

Visitors: 240

The best way to treat eczema is to know what is causing it. By this way you can try to either eliminate or reduce these factors to avoid future breakouts that might happen. The three most common reasons for having eczema are the following;

1. Eczema sufferers usually have delicate and sensitive skin which by nature is more prone to being irritated. Irritation is either a leader or a follower but eczema and irritation are deeply related to each other. Rough clothing, towels, temperature changes, harsh soaps and cleansing products, all of these factors can play a role in causing eczema. Excessive sweating and doing hard exercises in very hot climates can trigger eczema. Throw away those tight body hugging clothes and get yourself some comfy clothing instead, preferably all cotton. Switch over to quick warm showers instead of long hot baths as hot water tends to dry up the skin. Always try to use mild body washes instead of harsh soaps for your skin. Always fully moisturize your body after the bath.

2. Whenever there is going to be an increase in stress, eczema outbreaks will occur more frequently than ever. I know that it is easier said than done, but it is important that you at least try and get some stress out of your life. Try to take a close look at the life you are leading nowadays. If it is not something that can be called an ideal life then it is time to make some changes. Another, more realistic, strategy is to learn how to manage stress better so that your whole world doesn't have to revolve around it. You can try some mediation, simple breathing techniques, books or CDs available on the topic. If you really want to get rid of it however, even a long walk or a warm bath can make all the difference.

3. Food products that we use in our daily lives can affect eczema outbreaks to a large extent. What we think is eczema could actually be a symptom of an allergic reaction to something that we have just eaten. It will be a good idea to constantly watch what you are eating, to establish a connection between food and eczema outbreaks. Also try to change the skin care products that you use.

We all get extremely scared of the unknown but always trust your instincts. That is all I can say as far as the treatment of eczema is concerned.
